Unknown woman’s body found near Agra-Delhi highway in Mathura

AGRA: Body of an unidentified woman, who was apparently murdered, was recovered by the Mathura police from AjhaiKala village near Agra-Delhi highway (NH-2) on Wednesday morning.
According to police, the woman in her 30s was apparently hit with hammer on her head. The hammer was found lying next to the body.
Police said that apparently the woman had died due to excessive bleeding.

The body, which was spotted by the villagers around 5 am, would be sent for postmortem for ascertaining the cause of death.
Police said that the deceased was clad in a black lower with sky blue T-shirt and “Susheela devi” was tattooed on her right arm. Some pooja related material was also found there, raising suspicions that she could have been a victim of some sacrificial ritual.
Talking to media, SSP, Swapnil Mangain said a case of murder (302 IPC) has been registered against unknown persons and investigations are on.
